What you will do

• Own the virtual EMI/EMC roadmap and define modeling architecture for Conducted and Radiated Emissions/Immunity across product lines.
• Build scalable hybrid simulation workflows partitioning problems across 3D EM, cable modeling, and circuit co-simulation.
• Lead correlation and validation campaigns to quantify model accuracy and establish governance.
• Establish cross-SBU modeling standards, including mesh guidelines, uncertainty budgets, and Monte Carlo plans.
• Provide actionable EMC guidance during architecture, schematic, and layout phases to prevent prototype issues.
• Drive toolchain integration and automation within PLM systems and manage compute strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in simulation engineering, with at least 3 years specializing in automotive EMI/EMC.
• Expert-level understanding of Maxwell-based EM, coupling mechanisms, and shielding effectiveness.
• Proficiency with Ansys AEDT or Siemens EDA toolstacks.
• Solid understanding of automotive standards such as CISPR 25, ISO 11452, and ASPICE.
• Fluency in German and English languages (spoken and written) is required.

Nice to have

• Experience simulating EMC at the system/vehicle level, including harness networks.
• Expertise in nonlinear EMC phenomena, TVS/ESD behavior, and SMPS mode transitions.
• Experience building model libraries for connectors, ferrites, and absorbers.
• Knowledge of HPC/GPU acceleration for EM workloads and model version control.
