What you will do

• Architect scalable, compliant, and production-ready data pipelines and AI systems for public sector clients
• Develop technical architectures that integrate with legacy systems while adhering to German and EU regulations
• Support pre-sales and public tender processes by evaluating use cases and contributing to proposals
• Steer AI initiatives in collaboration with public stakeholders and legal frameworks
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams on publicly funded projects
• Contribute to discussions on digital sovereignty and ethical AI with policymakers

Requirements

• Fluency in both German and English
• Strong understanding of the German public sector landscape, including federal/state structures and procurement processes
• Experience delivering publicly funded projects or working within public institutions
• Knowledge of data and cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in regulated environments
• Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and production data systems
• Proficiency in process modeling and requirements engineering (BPMN, SIPOC)
