TL;DR

Senior Systems Engineer (GCP): Administering and optimizing critical development infrastructure and platform tools with an accent on automation, security, and cloud migration. Focus on reducing developer cognitive load through automated access management and enabling AI integration into systems workflows.

Location: Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work from the Delft office a minimum of three days a week

What you will do

  • Administer critical development tools including JIRA, GitHub, and JFrog Artifactory.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (VMs, networks, storage) primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Design and implement automated solutions for user onboarding and permissions management.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership on cloud tooling.
  • Implement a shift-left security approach and integrate AI capabilities into systems workflows.
  • Lead and execute infrastructure projects, including patching and migrating key services to the cloud.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in System Administration or IT Software Support roles.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian suite, GitHub, Slack, Cloudflare, and Artifactory.
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud migration.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Ability to work from the Delft office at least three days a week.
