Associate Site Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE): Maintaining and improving the reliability, deployment, and operation of hirify.global Cloud services with an accent on observability, release automation, and chaos engineering. Focus on solving operational problems through software automation, managing complex distributed systems, and performing technical deep dives into infrastructure.

Location: Must be a U.S. Citizen located on U.S. soil (FedRAMP requirement). Remote work is available from within the U.S.

What you will do

• Ensure the reliability, deployment, and continuous operation of hirify.global Cloud services.
• Implement and enhance observability, release automation, and chaos engineering practices.
• Solve traditional operations problems using automation and software development.
• Perform technical deep dives into code, app servers, databases, load balancers, and networks.
• Participate in a 24x7 production on-call rotation.
• Support U.S. Swing shift hours, starting at 2 PM Pacific time.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and Network deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker containers.
• Ability to code in Java, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or other OOP languages.
• U.S. Citizenship and residency on U.S. soil (FedRAMP requirement).
• Ability to work U.S. Swing shift hours (2 PM Pacific start).

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, or Git.
• Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic APM, InfluxDB, Elastic Search, or Splunk.
• Understanding of SOC 2, FedRAMP, and/or ISO 27001 controls.
