Senior Engineering Manager (Healthcare)

Salary: $154,900 - $179,600 a year

What you will do

• Manage engineering managers, senior engineers, and technical leads to drive delivery outcomes.
• Own end-to-end delivery for data-intensive systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and DevSecOps.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security, and CMS stakeholders to align engineering execution with program priorities.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure compliance with CMS security and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to corporate engineering strategy, hiring plans, and organizational design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in engineering management roles.
• Experience leading multiple Agile teams in complex, regulated environments or government programs.
• Strong expertise with AWS and delivering large-scale data pipelines.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder (no sponsorship) and US residency for the past 3 years.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMS or federal healthcare programs.
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR healthcare data standards.
• Experience with Databricks or large-scale analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP or NIST security compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards.
