TL;DR

Software Developer (C++/Python/Java): Developing and optimizing online and data services for AAA game franchises with an accent on scalable backend systems and high-concurrency infrastructure. Location: Hybrid (4 days per week in-office) in Vancouver, Canada. Relocation package may be available.

Salary: $45,202.50 - $95,655.00 CAD (annualized)

What you will do

• Build multiplayer features and core backend systems for large-scale distributed services.
• Design, build, and support scalable data platforms and frameworks for real-time insights.
• Maintain and evolve the operational architecture to ensure services are scalable and reliable worldwide.
• Collaborate in design discussions, perform root cause analysis, and automate workflows to improve developer experience.
• Work with Kubernetes infrastructure, automation frameworks, and scalable data pipelines.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program with graduation between January 2027 and May 2028.
• Available for an 8-month, in-person co-op starting September 2026 in Vancouver, Canada.
• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, and/or Java, with a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP, UDP, HTTP) and familiarity with Linux and Git.
• Resume and transcript are required for application.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL-based databases (MySQL preferred) and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Exposure to distributed systems, big-data processing (Kafka, Spark, Flink), or ETL frameworks.
• Demonstrated passion for computer science through personal projects or open-source contributions.
