Staff Test Engineer (Power Electronics)

TL;DR

Staff Test Engineer (Power Electronics): Developing and executing verification and validation plans for integrated voltage regulator (IVR) hardware with an accent on EVT and DVT processes. Location: Minimum of 3 days a week in the office in Torrance, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $130,000–$180,000

What you will do

• Own bench-based verification and validation of IVR hardware through prototype and pre-production phases.
• Lead execution of EVT and DVT for integrated voltage regulator products and evaluation platforms.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify compliance with electrical, thermal, and functional requirements.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debug, and characterization of evaluation boards and system platforms.
• Create and maintain automated test setups and scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve failures, improve coverage, and drive closure of validation issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in test engineering, power electronics, or hardware validation.
• Strong hands-on experience with bench testing, hardware bring-up, and root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency with lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and power analyzers.
• Experience with test automation using Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or C/C++.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Torrance, CA office at least 3 days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience validating high-current, low-voltage power delivery systems (IVR, VRM, PMICs).
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, or PMBus interfaces.
• Experience with thermal characterization and control loop analysis.
• Exposure to AI hardware and high-performance compute systems.
