TL;DR

Senior Product Test Engineering Technician (Semiconductors): Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of advanced semiconductor test operations in production and NPI environments with an accent on automated test equipment (ATE) and electro-mechanical troubleshooting. Focus on maintaining equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices, and mentoring junior technical staff.

Location: Austin, Texas (On-site). Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Perform preventative maintenance and system-level troubleshooting on Teradyne ATE platforms, National Instruments STS testers, and Accretech probers.
  • Manage spare parts and consumables inventory to proactively ensure equipment uptime.
  • Coordinate with ATE vendors for service, technical support, and procurement of replacement parts.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to design, validate, and deploy test fixtures for NPI and production.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, PM procedures, and training documentation to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on training to technicians and engineers of varying experience levels.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting semiconductor automated test equipment in production or NPI environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (sponsorship is not available).
  • Must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license.

Nice to have

  • Ability to perform complex or fine-pitch soldering.
  • Experience creating technical "One Point Lessons" documentation.
