What you will do

• Lead IT vendor resourcing and business strategy across cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and hardware categories.
• Partner with BITS and SCM leadership to standardize vendor solutions across the research enterprise.
• Negotiate business and contractual terms and manage the full vendor/contract lifecycle, including amendments and renewals.
• Provide financial oversight for IT contracts to limit redundancy and optimize costs.
• Liaise between SCM and BITS to analyze value for networking, data center, and high-performance compute infrastructure.
• Oversee financial quality control and spending limits for hyperscalers and cloud services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience in IT Procurement or IT Sales.
• Deep understanding of various software licensing models (SaaS, consumption-based, perpetual, etc.).
• Experience with cloud-based and on-premises (data-center) IT infrastructure.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; sponsorship will not be provided.

Nice to have

• Experience working with SAP or other major Enterprise Resource Planning software.
• Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (OMB Uniform Guidance).
