What you will do

• Design and operate scalable microservices for the search services stack.
• Drive the evolution of indexing, retrieval, and serving pipelines from prototype to production.
• Integrate and fine-tune LLM models to enhance search capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with product, science, and infrastructure teams.
• Act as a technical bridge between science/ML and engineering departments.
• Influence engineering best practices and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building large-scale backend systems in Java.
• 3+ years of experience with Python.
• Deep experience with search frameworks, metadata indexing, and retrieval systems.
• Expert-level experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and ElastiCache.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
