What you will do

• Lead technical strategy, modernization planning, and operational reliability for the communications platform.
• Define and implement scalable architecture, migration strategies, and infrastructure improvements.
• Enhance observability using monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and SLOs.
• Manage production operations across Kubernetes, queue-driven systems, and multi-cloud environments.
• Establish architecture review standards and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience as a Staff Engineer or senior IC supporting high-scale messaging platforms.
• Must be a permanent resident of the United States.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python development and operational experience.
• Experience leading modernization or migration initiatives for production systems.
• Skill in using observability tools and incident response practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with C/C++ production systems.
• Knowledge of AWS-native messaging (SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, KEDA).
• Background in EdTech or highly available SaaS platforms.
