L2 Product Owner (Application Security)

TL;DR

Product Owner (Application Security): Driving the delivery of security products and initiatives to protect enterprise applications with an accent on vulnerability management, secure software development, and DevSecOps integration. Focus on translating strategic security objectives into actionable features, managing product backlogs, and collaborating with Agile delivery teams to mitigate enterprise risk.

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) in Charlotte, NC (Preferred) or Dallas, TX

What you will do

• Translate Application Security strategy, vision, and roadmaps into executable product features and deliverables.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, security risk, and strategic objectives.
• Lead product planning activities, including the development of quarterly and annual roadmaps.
• Define and maintain feature requirements, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, security teams, and engineering organizations.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to define priorities, timelines, and delivery milestones.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within a product operating model environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Application Security (AppSec) concepts and practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into detailed product requirements and execution plans.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Application Security Engineering before transitioning into Product Ownership.
• Experience supporting security programs within large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks, governance, and compliance standards.
• Experience supporting multiple delivery teams within a scaled Agile environment.
