What you will do

• Write functional and design specifications for packet forwarding engine features and system software.
• Implement solutions using C, C++, and Python to manage hardware components and ASIC-based forwarding.
• Develop and execute automated test programs to validate software and hardware functionality.
• Debug and resolve complex issues found during testing or reported from customer networks.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new systems and validate new ASIC components.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews within the team.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent MS/PhD).
• Strong proficiency in C or C++.
• Solid knowledge of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design and implement solutions for complex software problems independently.
• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
