What you will do

• Build and optimize systems handling real money movement, including checkout, pricing, and refunds.
• Architect idempotent and auditable financial state machines to ensure system correctness.
• Contribute to the payments roadmap and define the evolution of the payments experience.
• Lead incident responses and coordinate technical deliverables across multiple squads.
• Mentor engineering colleagues in payments patterns and conduct design reviews.

Requirements

• Proven experience in system architecture and designing scalable, evolvable data models.
• Full-stack pragmatism with deep expertise in either frontend or backend and fluency across the stack.
• Experience defining technical standards, CI/CD optimizations, and testing strategies.
• Strong operational maturity in SRE practices, observability, and incident management.
• Must be based within commuting distance of Barcelona hubs for a hybrid 3-day in-person schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with or strong interest in agentic AI workflows and AI-powered code reviews.
