What you will do

• Define and execute verification and validation plans (DVP&R) for IMUs, angle sensors, and related electronic components.
• Translate product requirements and design risks into structured, risk-based validation strategies.
• Coordinate validation activities across simulation, bench, Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), environmental, and field testing.
• Apply FMEA outputs to validation planning to ensure all identified risks are mapped to acceptance criteria.
• Analyze validation results to provide technical recommendations and assess product readiness for design release.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, systems, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Understanding of electronic product development across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and systems disciplines.
• Experience developing and executing DVP&R-based validation activities and FMEA-driven risk mitigation.
• Ability to coordinate validation across multiple programs and test environments.
• Strong technical communication skills for producing structured reports and presenting in program reviews.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Dayton, OH

Nice to have

• Experience with IMUs, MEMS sensors, or automotive/off-highway sensing systems.
• Background in reliability or durability validation.
• Experience with gated development processes and structured validation systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in lab or machine testing.
