What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of significant features and critical product components.
• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Drive system design decisions balancing scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Establish quality metrics, testing strategies, and observability for product areas.
• Lead structured experimentation and translate insights into system improvements.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 6+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Hands-on coding proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Advanced experience in system design and scaling distributed systems in production.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience building data-driven or ML-enabled systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming systems.
• Experience with A/B testing or performance optimization.
• Exposure to modern AI tools or integrations.
• Contributions to open source, technical blogs, or conference talks.
