Engineering Planner (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Palmdale, California; US citizenship required

Salary: $30–$60 per hour, W2 hourly rate, depending on education, experience, interview results, and skill level.

What you will do

• Create comprehensive work instructions for aircraft parts, composite details and assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, maintenance, MRB, or coatings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related technical references.
• Apply knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods for aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing data, including EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM structures.
• Use manufacturing and model-based engineering applications to support production documentation.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required; only US citizens are eligible for consideration.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong instructional writing skills and experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Detailed knowledge of aircraft fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods or processes.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, CAPP/SFM, Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX, or comparable systems.
• Ability to pass background checks required to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Experience with CAD or CAE tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.
