What you will do

  • Lead the review, analysis, and evaluation of real estate appraisals and valuations for residential and commercial loans.
  • Assign appraisal reviews to staff and monitor workflow to ensure efficient and compliant completion.
  • Reconcile differences in valuation opinions and manage relationships with appraisal vendors.
  • Review complex commercial appraisals including industrial, multi-family, and large subdivision developments.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the appraisal review team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for lenders and senior management regarding real estate market conditions and valuation issues.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent progressive work experience.
  • 7+ years of related experience in real estate valuation.
  • State Certified General Appraisers License and/or MAI designation.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial real estate valuation methodology and USPAP guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and negotiation skills.
