Structural Engineer (Clean Energy)

What you will do

• Support construction projects at the Knolls Site within a project team environment.
• Develop and define project scope, specifications, and cost estimates with sponsors.
• Perform drawing reviews and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects.
• Oversee architectural engineering firms in the development of concept designs and construction documents.
• Coordinate and interact directly with facility staff and contractors.

Requirements

• B.S. in Structural Engineering.
• Experience performing structural engineering tasks, including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFIs, construction inspections).
• Active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent.
• US citizenship.

Nice to have

• EIT certificate and/or P.E. License.
• Engineering consulting experience.
