What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of controls solutions for robotic cells and automation projects.
• Develop and maintain PLC, safety PLC, and HMI logic, including standardized function blocks and diagnostics.
• Architect and integrate industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, UR) with safety systems for assembly and material handling.
• Design and validate fenceless and collaborative controls strategies, including safety zones and speed monitoring.
• Drive the standardization and reuse of controls building blocks across different manufacturing verticals.
• Utilize simulation, emulation, and virtual commissioning to front-load debug and reduce onsite commissioning time.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise in PLC, safety PLC, HMI, and industrial robotics.
• Experience designing collaborative automation and fenceless controls strategies.
• Ability to own technical workstreams from concept through pilot-line buyoff (MRL 4–6).
• Proven experience providing technical direction and mentorship to other engineers.
• Must have valid US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship provided.
