What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement scalable, event-driven architectures.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver system enhancements and new features.
• Troubleshoot application issues to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Contribute to observability setup and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles including Clean Code, SOLID, and basic DDD.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs with Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in GIT and test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with event-driven systems; Kafka experience is a strong plus.
• Must be based in Porto, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with Quarkus or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability practices and experience with OpenTelemetry.
