What you will do

• Manage and coach software engineering teams (5-10 people), fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
• Guide architectural discussions and provide technical coaching to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Drive technical roadmaps for the enterprise messaging hub, including AI-assisted workflows and new channel expansion.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Marketing stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Establish and monitor system health metrics (SLIs/SLOs) to ensure high security, privacy, and resiliency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 5+ years of software development experience in Java, Objective-C, Swift, JavaScript, or Perl.
• Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems and high-throughput, event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability) and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience working with commercial or marketing stakeholders to drive growth and retention.
• Experience with P0, high-criticality services where uptime directly impacts revenue.
