What you will do

• Design levels that deliver engaging gameplay experiences, balancing difficulty, rewards, and player progression.
• Collaborate with art, programming, and narrative to integrate mechanics, visuals, and story into cohesive level layouts.
• Organize and participate in playtesting sessions, analyzing player feedback to improve level design.
• Track level design progress, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and issues are resolved promptly.
• Work with programmers and technical artists to keep levels feasible within technical constraints.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of game design experience with a strong focus on FPS level design.
• Experience shipping at least two AAA titles and a strong portfolio of polished, well-structured levels.
• Deep understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, narrative design, and player psychology to balance difficulty and pacing.
• Experience with scripting and advanced tools to create dynamic, interactive environments.
• Knowledge of Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, or proprietary engines, including scripting/programming for events, triggers, and AI behaviors.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback.
