What you will do

• Analyze and present financial reports, overseeing all financial, project, and grants accounting.
• Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and the board's finance committee.
• Oversee annual budgeting and planning in conjunction with the Executive Director.
• Manage LIHTC compliance and long-term monitoring of affordable housing developments.
• Control organizational cash flow and forecasting while implementing robust contracts management systems.
• Communicate critical financial matters and identify trends in income and expenses for the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional financial and operations management experience.
• BA degree required; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience in a financial position for a nonprofit organization.
• Proven track record of final responsibility for financial data, reporting, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and other financial software.
• Must be based in or work on-site in Portland, Maine
