Mid Software Engineer (Data Services)

TL;DR

Mid Software Engineer (Go/Python): Developing key cloud services for a sovereign European cloud platform with an accent on DBaaS, Docker Registry, and secret-management systems. Focus on Kubernetes integration, API design, and ensuring production reliability of data services.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain DBaaS, Registry (Harbor), and Vault/Key Manager using a full-ownership model.
• Integrate platform services with IAM, billing, and quota systems.
• Design and implement REST APIs and provide comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate through code reviews and pair programming to establish technical standards.
• Manage the full delivery lifecycle from Kubernetes integration to operational stability.

Requirements

• Experience building applications on Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Go and Python for writing clean, testable code.
• Solid understanding of REST API design (CRUD, versioning, error handling).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals (RBAC, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Deployments).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Copilot.

Nice to have

• Operational experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Knowledge of Harbor or other container registries.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault on Kubernetes and the Operator pattern.
• Terraform knowledge (including module authoring).
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
