Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote, must be based in Italy or Poland

Salary: From 160,000 PLN gross (for Poland)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end ingest and egress frameworks for data pipelines to produce valuable data products.
• Design and develop data solutions for the lab organization using Azure BI Stack and Power BI.
• Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to design and validate data platform capabilities.
• Profile and analyze data to execute innovative solutions for automation and data science.
• Implement and maintain automated test-driven development, CI/CD, and version control best practices.
• Manage and troubleshoot data pipeline infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience creating ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch using disparate data types.
• 5+ years of proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in Italy or Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or AWS and containerization tooling.
• Experience with Airflow, Spark, Pandas, or a strong software engineering background.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and version control using Git/GitHub.
