What you will do
- Provide compliance advice on strategic and regulatory projects to assist in achieving business OKRs.
- Review and approve essential documentation, including financial promotions, customer communications, and internal policies.
- Implement actions arising from compliance monitoring and audit reviews.
- Monitor regulatory changes and perform gap analysis to inform the business of required actions.
- Represent the compliance function in key internal forums and external sessions.
- Assist the business in understanding regulatory risks and designing appropriate controls.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services compliance, preferably in an advisory role.
- Minimum of 2 years senior experience in compliance, audit, or risk specifically relating to second charge mortgages.
- In-depth knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including MCOBS, PRIN, DISP, and Consumer Duty.
- Experience working with mortgage brokers and knowledge of applicable FCA regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be based in London for a hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- CeMAP / ICA Advanced Certificate or Diploma.
- People management experience.
