What you will do

  • Provide compliance advice on strategic and regulatory projects to assist in achieving business OKRs.
  • Review and approve essential documentation, including financial promotions, customer communications, and internal policies.
  • Implement actions arising from compliance monitoring and audit reviews.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and perform gap analysis to inform the business of required actions.
  • Represent the compliance function in key internal forums and external sessions.
  • Assist the business in understanding regulatory risks and designing appropriate controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services compliance, preferably in an advisory role.
  • Minimum of 2 years senior experience in compliance, audit, or risk specifically relating to second charge mortgages.
  • In-depth knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including MCOBS, PRIN, DISP, and Consumer Duty.
  • Experience working with mortgage brokers and knowledge of applicable FCA regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be based in London for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CeMAP / ICA Advanced Certificate or Diploma.
  • People management experience.
