Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Salary: $145,000 - $215,000

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code and develop platform automation tooling.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security while responding to incidents.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform reliability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance required.
• Minimum 14 years of professional technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift in production.
• Proficiency in container technologies like Docker or CRI-O.
• Willingness to work 90% onsite in a SCIF environment.

Nice to have

• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of SRE practices and hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, or Security+.
• Experience with geospatial technology.
