Big Data Analyst (TS/SCI)

Location: On-site in Herndon, Virginia, with work at the customer site in Springfield, Virginia as needed; U.S. Citizen status required.

Salary: $118,000–$196,000 annually in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Evaluate datasets and develop assessments to inform government decision-making.
• Shape data engineering approaches that improve analytic tradecraft within applications.
• Identify and document gaps in data coverage and analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with software developers to gather requirements, provide feedback, and validate application changes.
• Support end users and mission partners with data- and application-related questions.

Requirements

• Current and active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness and ability to obtain a CI polygraph required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or in a similar role.
• Experience developing repeatable data evaluation processes and communicating findings to government officials.
• Experience with technical telemetry or telecommunications datasets, plus Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, or similar scripting and data tools.

Nice to have

• Geospatial analysis, Activity-Based Intelligence, or Pattern of Life analysis experience.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Experience with GitLab, software development life cycle practices, Jupyter Notebooks, or Apache Zeppelin.
• Customer-facing experience and collaboration with intelligence analysts or special operations customers.
