What you will do

• Design and develop automation solutions for satellite integration, testing, and operational activities.
• Contribute to the industrialization of AIT processes for high-volume satellite production.
• Implement AI-driven initiatives, including log and telemetry analysis for error detection and intelligent operator assistants.
• Develop and maintain modular, reusable automation frameworks and toolsets.
• Provide technical consultancy, code reviews, and training for tester engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate engineering workflows into AI and robotics solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong software engineering skills with proven experience in Python and Tcl/Tk.
• Demonstrated experience designing modular and reusable automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Bremen, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with CCS (Central Check-Out Systems).
• Knowledge of ML libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Background in AIT, aerospace, satellite systems, or space operations.
• Exposure to robotics or mechatronic systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
