Location: Onsite in Qingdao, China (required 5 days a week)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and technical decision-making for motors and related systems.
• Define and review technical solutions, design specifications, and interface requirements at the motor and system levels.
• Guide prototype builds, system integration, testing, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, power electronics, and software teams to meet performance and cost targets.
• Participate in supplier technical evaluations and resolve critical technical issues.
• Monitor emerging trends and new materials in motor technologies to identify product improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Senior-level experience in complex product design and development from concept through production.
• Strong ability to structure and solve complex engineering problems through technical analysis.
• Systems thinking capability to optimize interactions among multiple subsystems.
• Clear technical communication skills to influence design decisions.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Qingdao, China.
