What you will do

• Design and build the control plane to provision, scale, and heal Postgres clusters.
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions.
• Tune Postgres performance for demanding, large-scale production workloads.
• Build tooling and automation for backup, restore, and migration workflows.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with customers to translate real-world needs into platform improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed, fault-tolerant services.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Deep understanding of low-level OS concepts (memory, networking, storage).
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating a database-as-a-service platform.
• Experience with Postgres connection pooling and proxy layers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Contributions to open-source database infrastructure projects.
