Infrastructure Specialist (Azure/Kubernetes)

TL;DR

Infrastructure Specialist (Azure/Kubernetes): Supporting and operating cloud and container-based platforms within a regulated banking environment with an accent on Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and Azure infrastructure. Focus on managing platform operations, implementing security policies, and utilizing Infrastructure as Code via Terraform.

Location: Hybrid, must be based in Ukraine

What you will do

• Operate and administer Kubernetes (on-premises and cloud) and Apache Kafka platforms.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, and stability, performing incident investigation via log and metric analysis.
• Implement security policies, including authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms within clusters.
• Maintain Kafka brokers and optimize cluster performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Execute Infrastructure as Code activities using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
• Manage Azure infrastructure (VMs, Azure AD, networking) and Active Directory objects according to access policies.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container concepts.
• General knowledge of Apache Kafka fundamentals (topics, partitions, brokers).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Initial experience or strong interest in Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• English: Intermediate (B1+) required for technical communication.
• Location: Must be based in Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Linux operating systems and system administration basics.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as VPN, firewalls, and subnets.
• Basic understanding of information security principles.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and Azure Virtual Machines.
