What you will do

• Act as a technical advisor to legal and product teams to align business goals with privacy requirements.
• Design and validate privacy-by-design features, including anonymization and encryption, within the World App and Orb.
• Define and maintain canonical data flow maps, data inventories, and governance solutions across all systems.
• Conduct threat modeling, privacy design reviews, and code-level assessments to ensure high security standards.
• Collaborate with privacy attorneys on DPIAs and translate complex regulatory requirements into technical implementations.
• Develop visual demonstratives and diagrams to explain the company's privacy architecture to regulators and users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in privacy engineering or architecture.
• Strong foundation in systems engineering and fluency in multiple languages and technical stacks.
• Deep conceptual understanding of symmetric/public key cryptography, hash algorithms, and zero knowledge proofs.
• Experience working with global privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
• Proven ability to effectively present technical positions to stakeholders and Data Protection Authorities.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco.
