Location: Must be based in Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid: 4+ days per week in office)

What you will do

• Design and operate foundational cloud platform components on AWS and GCP for AR hardware.
• Build shared infrastructure including service mesh, identity management, and observability tools.
• Own services end-to-end, including SLOs, on-call rotations, and capacity planning.
• Engineer infrastructure with strong isolation and encryption for secure, always-on AR devices.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to onboard them onto new platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and data protection standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the Zurich office 4+ days per week.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS.
• Proficiency in Go.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong fundamentals in networking and cloud architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience operating workloads on GCP and multi-cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd, Envoy) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with zero-trust architectures or privacy-preserving systems.
• Working knowledge of C++, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Prior experience leading small engineering teams.
