What you will do

• Perform security testing using SAST, DAST, and SCA methodologies.
• Conduct penetration testing and manage vulnerability resolution processes.
• Develop, deploy, and automate security tools, scripts, and internal processes.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design and review security features in applications.
• Participate in the incident response team to identify and resolve security incidents.
• Research emerging security trends and tooling to elevate the overall security posture.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in application security.
• Basic knowledge of security principles, standards, and best practices.
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Exposure to security testing tools or vulnerability management platforms.
• Associate's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA

Nice to have

• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Pentest+, or Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and code review.
• Participation in CTF events, security communities, or open-source contributions.
