Senior Manager, Security Engineering (Cybersecurity): Leading the Application Security team to define and drive a multi-year security strategy aligned with Snap's product roadmap with an accent on reducing systemic product security risks at scale. Focus on establishing scalable secure design reviews, automating security testing, and developing high-performing security engineering teams.
Location: Must be based in the US (Bellevue, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto). Expectation to work in the office 4+ days per week.

What you will do
- Define and drive a multi-year application security strategy aligned to product roadmap and company priorities.
- Identify systemic product security risks and own high-impact initiatives to reduce risk across the ecosystem.
- Establish scalable practices for secure design reviews, threat modeling, and security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, fuzzing).
- Lead application security architecture reviews and drive automation-first approaches to minimize engineering friction.
- Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Privacy, and Detection & Response teams to ensure end-to-end security coverage.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of security engineers and managers.
Requirements
- 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s security experience (or equivalent with Master's/PhD).
- 2+ years of experience managing high-performing managers or providing strategic leadership for engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in application security, including secure architecture, OWASP Top 10, and modern attack techniques.
- Strong development background (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and knowledge of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, GCP, AWS).
- Experience building and scaling secure SDLC programs within large engineering organizations.
- Must be based in the US to comply with the "default together" in-office policy.

- Experience leading application security in a large consumer technology company.
- Familiarity with privacy-by-design and secure data handling principles.
- Experience operating in zero-trust or BeyondCorp-inspired environments.
- Demonstrated success embedding security into high-velocity product organizations.
