What you will do

• Perform independent validation of capital, pricing, and valuation models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of model assumptions and methodologies to identify potential risks or weaknesses.
• Summarize and present validation results to senior stakeholders and committees to agree on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to expand the coverage of model development risks and refine the risk framework.
• Support the reporting of the quarterly model change log to the PRA and Solvency UK Compliance results.

Requirements

• Experience in actuarial and statistical modelling.
• Strong background in model risk and governance.
• Good knowledge of the UK financial services regulatory environment and internal model design.
• Proven ability to provide constructive technical challenge and oversight of complex matters.
• Must be based in the UK to align with regulatory and office requirements.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification, such as CFA or Qualified Actuary.
• Technical proficiency in Python, R, or PowerBI.
• Experience in managing projects and negotiating with internal parties.
