What you will do

• Develop secure, high-quality features and improvements for the hirify.global Elements Platform using Rust.
• Design and implement world-class software components intended for open-source release.
• Influence the long-term technical strategy and overall architectural direction of the backend.
• Solve complex, large-scale technical challenges while optimizing system performance and security.
• Mentor the engineering team through code reviews, workshops, and by establishing best practices for distributed systems.
• Collaborate with global product, security, and infrastructure peers in an iterative environment.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Rust for building high-performance backend systems.
• Strong backend skills with TypeScript/Node.js; experience with Dart is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in designing and deploying distributed systems using AWS and cloud-native environments.
• Expertise in applying asynchronous cryptography in production-grade products.
• Experience with technical documentation standards such as the C4 Model and ADRs.
• Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to have

• Expertise in decentralized identity solutions and advanced cryptography.
• Experience working across different functions, locations, and time zones.
