What you will do

• Monitor and validate daily crude oil data, including flows, inventories, and refinery activity, to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze cargo movements, supply/demand dynamics, and freight trends across the Americas.
• Identify and resolve anomalies or gaps in large, complex datasets.
• Produce fast, factual market updates ("Pulses") and ad hoc analysis for top commodity traders and oil majors.
• Collaborate with Data Ops, Product Engineering, and Commercial teams to enhance data workflows.
• Support client queries, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Requirements

• Experience in crude oil or petroleum market analysis, including trade flows and refining basics.
• Strong understanding of Latin American crude markets and regional asset dynamics.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel for working with large datasets.
• Fluent in English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with geospatial or vessel tracking data.
• Experience engaging with clients or supporting commercial teams.
