What you will do

• Execute food-based changes to the product range using the stage gate process.
• Collaborate with Proposition and Innovation teams to deliver new products from development to launch.
• Identify and implement product optimization opportunities in partnership with Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
• Manage collaborative relationships with ingredient suppliers and ensure adherence to SLAs for innovation deadlines.
• Substantiate new product claims in coordination with Regulatory and Animal Nutritionists.
• Maintain and update substantiation dossiers based on new academic studies and industry periodicals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet food product development, food technical, or nutritionist roles.
• Degree in Food Science or Animal Nutrition (desirable).
• Experience leading and developing a small team of food technologists.
• Proven track record of developing products in partnership with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
• Commercial mindset with ability to input on business cases for innovation and renovation projects.
• Experience with Spec track or similar specification management platforms.

Nice to have

• Theoretical nutrition modelling experience.
