TL;DR

Head of Tax (Projects): Leading critical global tax initiatives for hirify.global Studios with an accent on transfer pricing, R&D tax credit programs, and international tax leadership. Focus on driving tax compliance, supporting M&A activity, and strengthening tax operations across a complex international business.

Location: Hybrid role based in London, UK

Salary: £110,000 - £115,000 plus London Weighting and 25% bonus

What you will do

  • Lead global tax initiatives, including transfer pricing reviews and R&D tax credit programs.
  • Provide interim leadership for international tax and manage global tax compliance and reporting.
  • Support strategic growth through tax leadership on M&A, acquisitions, and commercial decision-making.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and represent the company professionally to external advisors and authorities.
  • Oversee tax operations, including managing cross-border disputes and tax authority enquiries.
  • Develop the finance function through team coaching and line management.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) required.
  • Extensive experience in global tax requirements, transfer pricing, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior level and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Experience leading change in complex organizations and finance teams.
  • Strong communication skills to interpret and explain complex financial data.

Nice to have

  • In-depth knowledge of the media sector and production/distribution cycles.
  • Prior experience in senior finance leadership within the media industry.
  • Experience with M&A transactions and business integration.
  • Knowledge of digital and social media content production.
