Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid: Monday-Wednesday in office)

Salary: $225,000 - $255,000 a year

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable systems powering Trust & Safety capabilities.
• Drive complex, high-impact technical initiatives from concept through delivery to address evolving threats.
• Set technical direction, influence architecture, and establish best practices for system design and performance.
• Partner cross-functionally with product and data science teams to deliver end-to-end safety solutions.
• Mentor engineers through guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to elevate engineering quality.
• Strategically leverage AI tools to accelerate development and unlock new approaches to problem-solving.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in modern programming languages and system design at scale.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and delivering high-quality systems.
• Ability to drive alignment across teams and diverse stakeholders.
• High proficiency in using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for productivity and design.
• Unable to offer Visa sponsorship at this time.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment pipelines.
• Background in Trust & Safety, machine learning systems, or recommendation systems at scale.
