What you will do

• Design complex data collections with human participants, including authoring instructions and implementing quality mechanisms.
• Develop datasets using synthetic and model-based data generation methods based on state-of-the-art approaches.
• Analyze and extract actionable insights from large-scale datasets.
• Build tool prototypes for data analysis and creation using Python or other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to evaluate and improve AI model performance.

Requirements

• Master's degree or above in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Professional experience in computational linguistics, language data processing, semantics, and philosophy of language.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• Experience in speech and language data analysis.
• Must be based in or have authorization to work in the UK (London or Cambridge)

Nice to have

• Experience owning and executing language data collection projects, including guidelines and annotation workflow development.
