What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the AI Platform team, guiding the design and implementation of shared AI services.
• Own the technical delivery of platform initiatives, ensuring solutions meet high standards for scalability and reliability.
• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Java.
• Partner with product and research teams to transition AI prototypes into production-ready capabilities.
• Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical coaching.

Requirements

• Extensive professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead on complex backend or platform systems.
• Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of Java.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud-native development.
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments.
