TL;DR

Product Manager (Developer Productivity): Building the foundation for how engineers and researchers develop, test, and ship code with an accent on developer experience and AI-native toolchains. Focus on evolving build systems and CI/CD pipelines to integrate AI agents as autonomous collaborators.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY). Staff are expected to be in the office at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $385,000 - $595,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end developer experience, covering source control, monorepo ecosystems, and build/CI infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for build systems, CI/CD pipelines, developer environments, and accelerator toolchain management (GPU, TPU, Trainium).
• Design the evolution of developer productivity as AI agents transition from autocomplete to autonomous collaborators in the coding process.
• Establish and champion productivity metrics (such as DORA or SPACE) specifically adapted for an AI-native engineering organization.
• Manage the trade-off framework between development velocity, reliability, security, and cost.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with deep exposure to developer tooling, build systems, or platform infrastructure.
• Experience scaling technical platform products from early stages to serve large, demanding engineering organizations.
• Ability to internalize complex technical systems including build graphs, monorepos, and compute-intensive ML workloads.
• A strong thesis on how AI will reshape software development and the tooling required for agent-based workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City to comply with the hybrid office policy.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bazel, Buck, or similar large-scale custom build infrastructure.
• Familiarity with accelerator toolchains such as CUDA/GPU, TPU, or AWS Neuron/Trainium.
• Experience shipping AI-native developer tools, such as agent-based automation or AI-integrated IDEs.
• Track record of driving internal platform adoption through product quality.
