Staff Java Developer (Platform): Designing and delivering secure, distributed, and fault-tolerant backend services for core platform infrastructure with an accent on high availability and scalability. Focus on building and maintaining critical services like Feature Flags, User Preferences, and Application Metadata to ensure seamless synchronization across consumer applications.

Location: Must be on-site 4 days a week

What you will do

• Implement and support highly available backend infrastructure and core services.
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to translate functional requirements into technical designs.
• Manage the full product release cycle for developed services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improving team development processes.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of back-end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• English proficiency: Pre-intermediate or higher.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools.

Nice to have

• Experience designing globally distributed, high-volume applications.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in Linux CLI and shell scripting.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
