Senior Java Developer (Backend): Develop and support Core Java backend services, Spring Boot microservices, and Kafka integrations for modernizing a large-scale legacy Collections application with an accent on event-driven processing and enterprise platform enhancements. Focus on migrating from JSF to React, troubleshooting legacy codebases, and collaborating in Agile environments on complex enterprise systems.

Location: Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite required: Monday and Tuesday mandatory, Thursday strongly encouraged)

What you will do

• Develop and support Core Java backend services and Spring Boot microservices
• Support migration from Java Server Faces (JSF) to React-based applications
• Enhance and maintain a large enterprise collections platform
• Build and support Kafka integrations, filters, and event-driven processing
• Work with MongoDB and cloud-based infrastructure
• Troubleshoot legacy Java applications and collaborate in Agile teams

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional Java development experience
• Strong Core Java backend development
• Hands-on Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
• Supporting or modernizing legacy Java applications
• Basic React development experience
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and Agile collaboration skills

Nice to have

• MongoDB experience
• Cloud or container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Reading and supporting legacy Java code
• Experience in large enterprise environments
