What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate imaging-based assays to support drug development and manufacturing.
• Implement advanced imaging technologies to enhance assay sensitivity, specificity, and throughput.
• Lead the transfer of imaging assays to automation platforms and QC environments.
• Analyze and interpret complex imaging data to support product development decisions.
• Author and review technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and SOPs.
• Mentor junior scientists and act as a subject matter expert for imaging-based assays.

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 3-5+ years, M.S. with 5+ years, or B.S. with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in imaging-based assays (IHC, IF) and high-content imaging instruments.
• Strong knowledge of imaging software such as ImageJ or CellProfiler.
• Experience with analytical development for biologics, cell, or genetic therapy products.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (FDA, ICH, USP) for analytical assay development.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in Boston, MA.

Nice to have

• Background in stem cell biology (ESC, iPSC) and cell therapy products.
• Experience with regulatory filings for CGT products.
• Proven track record of assay transfer to automated platforms.
