Executive Director, Biotherapeutics DMPK

Location: Boston, MA; on-site five days per week, with responsibility for teams in Boston and Seattle.

Salary: $268,000–$402,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Develop the vision, strategy, and capabilities for Biotherapeutics DMPK-BA teams across Boston and Seattle.
• Lead DMPK-BA scientific strategies from discovery through clinical development, including preclinical PK, ADME, bioanalysis, immunogenicity assays, and translational PKPD approaches.
• Integrate PK, bioanalysis, ADME, and translational PKPD insights into cross-functional program decisions, dose selection, and development plans.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and R&D governance bodies.
• Build partnerships with Biology, Preclinical Safety, Clinical Pharmacology, CMC, and other R&D disciplines.
• Hire, develop, manage, and retain talent while contributing to resource allocation, staffing, budgets, sourcing, and business development reviews.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of industry experience at the management level.
• Track record of managing DMPK-BA teams across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Extensive experience with biotherapeutic modalities such as proteins, antibodies, nucleic acid therapeutics, cell therapies, or gene therapies.
• Expertise in PK, ADME, bioanalysis, immunogenicity, biotransformation, and translational PKPD modeling for biologics.
• Experience preparing regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities, plus strong cross-site collaboration and people leadership skills.
